As Christians we are not to be in holy clubs, only loving and forgiving humans in the church and treating others outside the church with disdain. We are not called by Jesus just to love the saved, but like Him we are to reach out to all people, even if their conduct is not good and wholesome. More… OUR TEXT Matthew 5:46 (New King James Version) 46 For if you love those who love you, what reward have you? Do not even the tax accumulators do the same? In the days of Jesus sure men got the prospect off the Roman Empire to gather the taxes that were due to the Romans. Many of these tax accumulators were Jews and the Jewish community hated them for their betrayal. Many tax collectors were hard on the humans and gathered a lot more then were due from the humans and held the profits. When Jesus said even the tax gatherers are friendly to each other it was a kind of big wakeup call for the hearers. He was saying to them, even humans that your despise love each those who love them, so how much batter are you? So tell me reader, how much better are you? Do you pardon the unsaved as well as the saved that you need to worship with? We all need to wake up to ourselves. Love may be a powerful thing if it is used correctly among the unsaved. We need to give hope or courage to all the brothers and sisters in the Lord to do these things even for the unsaved in our midst: But I say to you, love your enemies, bless those who curse you, do good to those who hate you, and pray for those who spitefully use you and persecute you Today is a good day to start. Let’s pray: Father, We need you help. Help us to do what Jesus tells us that we must be. Help us to be better than the unsaved and for us to love our oppositions and for us to bless those who curse us and to do good to those that hate us. Father by the power of your Holy Spirit, equip us so that we may rise above the disturb and plainly walk in grace. In Jesus name we ask. I pray that your life is richer for reading this.
