Excellent Collar

This is a very excellent collar. I shopped around a lot before I bought this one, but I just couldn’t paying $200 for a training collar. When I found this one on Amazon I was a little worried that it would be cheap and break within a couple of days. When I recieved it I couldn’t believe how well its made and all the stuff that comes with it. Its not only rechargeable but it also is waterproof which is very, very hard to find for this price. It not only has 7 levels of shock but also 7 levels of vibration and tone, and also you can use the remote with up to three different collars with just the press of a button. My dog is a Staffordshire Bull Terrier and she responded very well and immediately to the collar with just the vibration and sound. I have only used the shock once and not anytime since. Once she hears the beep she stops what she is doing and focuses on me. I recommended this collar a 100%. If your trying to train your canine for hunting or obedience this is the collar to buy.

Elite Tek Remote Dog collar – It Works!

I hated the idea of using this, but needed a quick solution. The dog? A yearling female lab, dumped on my farm. She’d been on a chain her whole life and is enjoying her new freedom. She’s hyper and wants to play play play all the time. The problem? She wouldn’t lay off my chickens that are allowed to free range during the day.
We started by using the tone and voice to get her attention. She heard it, but kept plowing ahead going after whatever she was interested in. Next step was to use the vibration and voice, which she noticed, but continued going after her goal. Then we used voice and a shock on the lowest setting, and she didn’t seem to notice it. I don’t know if this was user error or if the prongs weren’t making good contact. We dialed it up a few numbers, and that got her attention.
Then we put her on a leash and took her into the pen with the chickens. She started pulling against the leash, and was pulled back and given the tone at the same time. The next time she pulled on the leash, she was given vibration and voice. I could see the wheels starting to turn in her mind. Then I took her close to the chickens and we repeated, up to a mild shock.

My wife and I have really been on the fence about getting a training collar for our lab/border collie mix. He’s a very smart, energetic dog, but is very territorial in our back yard. After trying a number of methods to reduce the barking in the backyard (it is triggered by other dogs or people in surrounding yards), we needed results much faster now that we have a newborn and he has woken her up during nap times.

After researching for about a month, I finally decided to get a remote trainer so I had full control over correction methods, and I knew I wanted one that beeped as well as static corrected. When I saw this collar with the added bonus of vibration, I thought I might have a winner here. It gave me 2 pre-static correction options.

When we received the item, it appeared like it had been open before, and I was immediately concerned- but everything worked just fine and all the items and paperwork were in the package. I put the collar on our dog and let him outside, going out there with him. After the first bark, I used the beep. At the second, I used the vibrate. That’s all it took! Now, whenever he hears the beep, he stops barking and returns to the patio.

After about 5 days of use, the barking has been almost entirely curtailed (I think I’ve only beeped maybe once in the last 2 days), and I am a very satisfied owner. This has come with an added bonus- since I don’t have to bring him inside as soon as other people or dogs are in our area, both our dog and our neighbors have become a lot more friendly.

I have to imagine these types of collars work differently for different dogs and different situations, but for us, it has worked amazingly well. We haven’t even used the static correction on him once (although before I placed it on him the first time, I tried the various settings out on myself first, and let me tell you, 7 is quite a bite!).

Based on our experience, I would whole heartedly recommend this product.
